2015 Oil and Water Conference
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel – Austin

Water is crucial to the health and life of a city, much as oil and natural gas are vital to Texas’ growth and prosperity.

But drought and scarcity, and the growth of oil and natural gas bring challenges that must be addressed by cities, state and federal officials, industry, as well as citizens. Addressing these issues will require a collaborative effort to ensure the well-being of our cities today and tomorrow.

On day one of the conference, we will explore best practices in water conservation, innovations in water technologies, water funding, and planning and forecasting.

On day two, we will discuss the state regulation and permitting of oil and gas, royalties, innovations in public private partnerships, how cities are regulating oil and gas, and the legal challenges cities can expect if they exceed their regulatory authority.

The Texas Municipal League and Texas City Management Association invite you to join this important discussion about how to manage and conserve our resources for future generations.
